Why the Wing New Town Action Group believes the Diocese of Oxford's development proposals conflict with the Church's own policies and commitments.
The Diocese of Oxford is partnering with house builders to more than double the size of Wing. Wing New Town Action Group has explored the position of the Diocese, and the Church of England, on the issues related to the project. We looked for Church and Diocese policies that supported or justified a project like Wing New Town. We found none.
In fact, there is a view that the plan for Wing New Town conflicts directly with several of the policies and ambitions promoted by the Church of England and the Diocese of Oxford.
